Moravian Stars are symbols of hope, peace and love.

This star is 21 inches, and the points connect by twisting to lock them into place. Moravian Stars takes on a special significance in many areas of North Carolina. When they’re displayed it’s considered the official beginning of the Christmas season, however they are beautiful and meaningful to display year round like many do.

Fun fact: Our family’s recognizable and symbolic Moravian cookie shapes have different meanings that our family came up with to define our shapes, and they largely relate to Moravian culture and tradition. Our favorite is our 26 points of light Moravian star tip cookies.
